Unable to edit forms data after refreshing a linked table

I currently have linked tables to an Oracle database. I have added a column
in one of the tables, so I have to refresh the link in Access using the
Linked Table Manager utility. After doing that, I can no longer edit fields
in any of my forms that use that table. The forms have not changed.

Any ideas?

If you link to an ODBC table that does not have a Primary Key or Unique Index
defined then Access will ask you when you create the link which columns it can
use to build a local unique index with. Without that updates are not possible.
If you do this and then later do a simple refresh link on that table the unique
column index data is lost and the link reverts to read only.

Thanks. This was very useful! The Oracle table does not have a primary key,
so what I did to correct this problem of not being able to edit my forms
anymore, is to completely remove (delete) the linked table in Access, then go
get it a again, which brought up the wizard asking which field to use as the
primary key. That worked!!
