unable to download

when i try to download a file from the net nothing happens and there are no
error messages. nothing happens when i click on down load now. i have ie 6
service pack 1. any help ? thanks
 
Hi,

Try to right click the download link, choose "save target as" - see if this
allows you to initiate the download.

-- tried that, thanks. someone told me it might be messenger plus 3 that is corrupting my system, could that happen ?
