unable to download using any browsers

Hi,
I seem to be having a problem being able to download files from the
web. When i press on a download link it just takes me to the page and puts
the address in the address bar
for eg " http:www.gofer.com/download.htm/download.exe" but IE does
not bring up the download box. Its like i've lost the association. Help
please

do you have/use any "popupblockers" in 'background'?

i have had the same problem - i have installed kerio personal firewall and there was the "Web-Filter" - i was even not able to get the Download-Popups at Windows-Update - i have turned off those filters for me and after that i didn´t have had any problems so far with that

Probably you must look at your "webWasher", "Proxy", "Popupblocker", "Firewall" (like me - see above)...

Perhaps these hints may help you to solve your problem
