I recently installed Outlook 2003 ( XP Pro). It has begun
to give me an error message:

"Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook
could not access the specified folder location. Another
application closed unexpectedly while using your Personal
Folders file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Cap't Bob\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst'.
To prevent potential damage to your Personal Folders
file, it will not be available until you close all
applications currently using it."
As far as I can tell no other application is using the
file.
ANy thoughts?
Thanks

Do you see another instance of OUTLOOK.EXE running in Task Manager? Do you
have a PDA synched to your desktop? Do you have an antivirus programmed
integrated into Outlook?

I am facing EXACTLY the SAME ERROR!!

Even i recently installed Office 2003(XP)

No PDA synched to the desktop.

I an not sure if there is an antivirus programme integrated into Outlook.

Once i the error appears,i exit Outlook and when i check the Task Manager i still find OUTLOOK.EXE running in Task Manager.

Can any one Help Pls!!
