Unable to delete temporary file held in storage area (prior to CD burn)

Like it says above, the file continues to exist in the
storage/holding area of the C: drive despite efforts to
transfer it as well as delete it both manually and via
the disk cleanup tool.

The file can be made to disappear by disabling the
writing capacity of the CD drive, but returns as soon as
it's turned back on.

Any suggestions for its removal would be gratefuuly
received.

If you bring up the folder with the common tasks pane on the left, you
should see an option to clear the CD staging area. For the task pane to
appear, Folder Options> General> mark box to show common tasks. In Windows
Explorer, click the Folders button in the Standard toolbar to toggle
between treeview and folder view.
