In a migration from an old computer to a new computer several of the
transferred programs migrated to the new computer showing as located on drive
G: (The assigned drive to my replaced hard drive -old computer). There is no
drive G on the new computer. Is it simply a matter of using regedit to
delete the offending registry entries or are we talking about a more serious
propsect than that? I have the program disk so wipping the slate completely
clear is not a problem - if only I could figure out how to do so.

Where did you migrate from ... a copy on a CD of you files? Was that CD
Reader/Burner drive G?
If so, depending on what programs where transferred and how, you may need to
manually reinstall them so that all parts are registered in the registry.

You can try Exporting the entire registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software) and
globally modify the pathnames, but that will not cause DLLs that support the
applications, that may have not been migrated over, to register.
