Wondering if someone can help me... I cannot seem to
find the following files even though they seem to be
there when I run Macafee.

c:\documents and settings\user name\local
settings\temporary internet files.

I know there are a ton of files in here, but I cannot
seem to get to them in order to delete- my son had some
challenges w/ inappropriate sites which I'm trying to
correct.

Thanks

start->control panel->internet options->Delete files.. Yes
start->control panel->internet options->Delete cookies.. Yes

Include a delete of the offline files - that should wipe the index.dat files
as well [ I hope anyway ]!

Actually what works better is to logon as another (admin) user and
delete the index.dat file (in that temporary internet files folder)
directly. When the original user logs on again, all the temporary files
get deleted to match (and a new blank index.dat gets created).

The folder may have been moved. Go to Control Panel - Internet options,
and in the Temp Int Files section, middle of the front page, click
Settings. There you can click 'View files' to open a window on them,
and click 'Move Folder' to reassign where it lives
