I have multiple computers on a home network and only one of them is unable
to access the internet. The DHCP server assigns a proper address to the
network device but every time I enter a web address, it goes to 192.168.0.1
and then errors out. I have reset the HOSTS file to an empty file thinking
that was the problem but still have the same problem.
Any ideas what I can try next?? thanks in advance

Since it goes to 192.168.0.1, I would check the IE LAN settings. Too do that, open IE>Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings. Make sure Proxy server is unchecked.
