Unable to access drives in network

Hi
I am not able to access mine other machine in network i am able to see them when i double click on them they opens but when i enter machinename\C$ and pop comes up and ask for userid and pass i am not able to enter username as it has been greyed and the default userid is guest. i am administrator of mine machine i have admin password for other machine too but i am not able to access those machine personaly so is there any solution for it ? i have more than 20 machine under mine network and a single same password for administrator. most of machine runs on 98 xp and 2000 and all have their own users.

Are you using Simple or Advanced File Sharing? If Advanced, check
Local Security Settings (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local
Security Policy). Under Local Policies - Security Options, check the
setting "Network access: Sharing and security model for local
accounts", ensure that it is set to "Classic" not "Guest only".

I have a similar problem... my new pc is xp my old are 98se and 2000pro... why can't I find the 98se pc on the network with a search? The 98se pc is setup for file sharing, and the 2000pro can find it, but not xp..

Security Policy). Under Local Policies - Security Options, check th
setting "Network access: Sharing and security model for loca
accounts", ensure that it is set to "Classic" not "Guest only"
