Hi,

I have 2 computers using Win Xp Pro SP2 and both computers connected to the
Internet using a router + modem hub. I am able to view both computers in the
workgroup, but i am unable to access either from my desktop or laptop.

The error states that the computer is not accessible and i do have the
permission to use the resource. However, i am sure that the permissions and
everything is set correctly because previously i could access and i have not
made any changes.

Anyone has any idea? Thanks

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
other possibilities too, and any might be the cause of your problem. Read this
article with an open mind.

For more direct help, provide "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config
server", and "net config workstation", from each computer, so we can diagnose
the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):

Hi,

I managed to solve the problem due to the node type=peer-to-peer in my
laptop. And so i deleted the entry of DHCPNodeType or Nodetype in the
registry, And now it works like a charm.
