Unable to accept tasks or appointments!!!

Hope someone can help here

A home office situation....

Both computers running Windows XP and office 2003, outlook 2003

Computer 1 (Laptop) sends task to Computer 2 (Mini Tower)
Computer 2 unable to accept/decline the tasks.

Computer 2 sends task to computer 1
Computer 1 able to accept/decline tasks.

The latest patches have been applied to both computers.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
 
POP3 account? What format did you use to send the task request on Computer
1? You mustn't use Plain Text format for a task request.
