Hi,

I removed a program,MouseWare 9.4, from my system. After system restart, I'm
unable to move the mouse at the logon screen. So there's no way to click the
user icon to login. Funny thing is, the mouse pointer is still visible.

My XP is preinstalled, so there's no setup disks to access the recovery
console.

Is there anyway to get password prompt at the login screen without using the
mouse? Or anyway to access the recovery console?

At wit's end, thanks.

Hi,

Use the arrow keys to shift to your user account. If it doesn't appear to
move, hit the alt key first.

If you removed the software, you probably removed the Mouse Drivers (USB).
Try Connecting a Standard PS/2 Mouse to the Back of the PC and see if you can
move the mouse. If that's the case, you need to re-install MouseWare/Drivers
for your mouse.
