My database was running over network where multiple users were manipulating
data. All was stopped due to sudden power failure. After power restoration,
no one can use the database any more. It gives a error message "Un-Recognize
Database Format". Can any one help me as i have data for the whole months
updates and only day after this disaster, backup process was scheduled.

First, always work on a copy of the database. Working on the original may
make it impossible for a repair service to fix it.

Download a copy of JetComp.exe:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;273956

Try backing up your forms as text with the undocumented SaveAsText
LoadFromText functions:

http://www.datastrat.com/Code/DocDatabase.txt

Also have a look at the Microsoft KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;209137

Then have a look at Tony Toews' Access Corruption FAQ at:

http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

for some suggestions. Unfortunately, some corruption cannot be fixed - you
may need to create a new database, import what can be salvaged, and recreate
the rest.

Although it's a paid service, Peter Miller does an outstanding job of saving
corrupt databases. Try this URL:

Dont EVER use MDB for _ANYTHING_

It is impossible to backup reliably.. it is impossible to support
multiple users in a network environment.

All I have to say is HA-HA--- ROFL--- LMAO

Yet another MDB casualty!!!

Maybe if you werent such a ****ing pussy you wuold have lost the
training wheels and used Access Data Projects.

HA-HA

Others who aren't recognized as MVPs also give excellent answers. So
please don't restrict your query to just MVPs. (And at least one
person has refused the honour stating they felt they weren't worthy.
We MVPs disagree with that persons viewpoint.)
