Typing "

Hi,

Not sure if I'm on the right board but I'll give it a try.

In any application if I want to type ' or " I have to press the appropriate
key then the space bar for the character to come up.

Is there any way I can stop this? Any help would be appreciated.

You're using the US-International keyboard layout, which is provided to
facilitate typing special characters like ä. This can be turned off in
Control Panel | Regional and Language Options | Languages | Details |
Settings.
