typing website names

Whenever I try to type in a new website, a list of
previous websites that start with the letters that I am
typing appears. This is annoying. How can I turn off
this feature? Please give me step by step instrucions on
how to do this.

Tools/Internet Options/Content/Autocomplete

You need to remove check marks from all 3 Autocomplete items. I would also click on "Clear Forms" and "clear Passwords" so that everything is cleared from the system.

You should also clear cache so that IE does not load from this.

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
