Why when I am typing do the letters not necessarily follow on in the sentence but jump up the page into another sentence. I have tried looking at settings bu nothing helps. I have tried watching for when it happens but there is no pattern. Its driving me nuts as it slows down my typing speed.

Go to Start > Help and Support and type: TEXT , and hit enter.
Click on the Task titled "Turn text services off or on". You need
to "turn off" Text Services.

Hi Sue,

If you are using a laptop, you might have tapping turned on and the ball of your hand is brushing against the touchpad. I always
keep tapping turned off for just that reason (I have size 13 hands with an extra set of thumbs <vbg>).

Thanks, I did as you suggested but the laptop was already set up like that. Any other ideas? I will pursue the other response and see if that helps.

Hi Sue,

Assuming that your touchpad is a Synaptics, you would go to; {Start} > [Settings] > [Control Panel] > [Mouse]. When that window
opens, go to the (Device Settings) tab. High light your touchpad in the list then click on {Settings}. A new window will open.
The second option on the left is [Tapping]. Uncheck 'Enable Tapping'.
