Type mismatch

One of my collegues gets an error message of Type Mismatch whenever she
tries to import or export any file from any Access2002 database. Any

She is trying to import an excel spreadsheet into Access 2002, using
the import function in the file menu. She has also tried exporting as a
text file.

she should check the Fielddefinitions in the Wizard.
The Import is only looking at the beginning of the file to guess to
datatype. If you have a numeric field, but in the middle you get
characters, then you get this error.
