Two workgroups

I use my laptop at work and home. I have a work group at
home and one at work. I want to set up two workgroups
depending on where I am. When I set up the work group at
work it erased my home work group. Can I have two work
groups on the laptop and click on which one I want
depending on where I am? How do I do it?

I'm sorry, but a computer can only be in one workgroup at a time. To
switch to another workgroup, you have to change the workgroup setting,
which erases the other one.

However, there's no need to ever change workgroups: Windows networking
supports multiple workgroups, and computers in any workgroup can
access computers in all of the other workgroups.

In XP, here's how to see all of the workgroups and computers on the
network:

1. Open My Network Places..

2. Click "View workgroup computers" to see computers in your own
workgroup.

3. Press the Backspace key to see all of the workgroups.

4. Double click a workgroup to see the computers in that workgroup.
