Is it possible to have personal folders set up in Outlook 2000 for two
different users on one PC so that they cannot access each other's mail or
see each other's folders, please?

Sorry this is asked again but another thread has been attached which is not
relevant to this question.

I would be most grateful if someone could answer my question or point me to
the right newsgroup please.

TIA

Depending on your OS and/or installation mode of Outlook 2000 either create
separate user logons or separate mail profiles.

Thank you for your reply.

I am using Outlook 2000 in Windows 98.
If I go to Control Panel/Mail, I only see a list of my Internet Accounts.
I suppose that means I have to create a separate Windows user logon. That is
no problem except that I only want settings for a separate Outlook. My
husband's PC is to be disconnected for some time; we are quite happy to
share all the other programs on my PC but, as we have many folders in our
individual Outlook programs, it would be more convenient to have separate
profiles.

Is it possible to set up a new profile for him for Outlook ONLY (i.e.without
having duplicates of all the other programs).

If you could help, I would be most grateful.

Thanks in advance,

Since you are runing Windows 98 separate user logons is not really an
option. You can change your installtion mode for Outlook to Corporate
Workgroup. You can then create an additional mail profile for your husband
through Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles

Thanks once again. I followed the link and have changed to Corporate
Workgroup.
When I went through Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles, I got a bit
lost - I am not sure what I should be entering to set up a new profile for
my husband:

Add: Inbox Setup Wizard > Use the following information services:
Microsoft Exchange Server /
Internet Email.
Whichever I choose, the next box says Microsoft Exchange Settings and then
Microsoft Exchange Server: ....... Mailbox .....

Can you tell me what I should enter here or refer me to another link - I
searched support but obviously did not enter the right keywords!
