two system files on my desktop

I have two sys files on my desktop one is a configuration setting called
desktop and the other is a DB file called thumbs. Where do I move them to?
 
Desktop.ini??
Depends which one it is. Double click it and see what's in it.
Copy and paste it into Notepad and post back.

Thumbs.db??
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures\Sample Pictures
Might be one place. Depends whether you're caching thumbnails or not.
 
whatever it was Wes I deleted it accidentally, I now have a desktop icon
which opens in notepad with no info in it Hellllllllllllllp it says that it
is a system file best not delete it eh?
 
Right click it | Properties |
See if you can find any info.
Look at all the tabs/buttons.
