two processors, how can i remove one

i have to processors installed and when i uninstall one and reboot, it reinstalls itself when i log back o
i thinks its affecting my computers performance

When making a post like this its customary to give us some system details.
It is kind of hard to diagnose a hardware related problem like this if you
do not care to share your hardware details with us.

As a very broad guess however, I'm going to suggest you have a Intel Pentium
4 processor that supports "HyperThreading" and as such the computer is
behaving entirely correctly. (HT is an intel technology that makes one
physical processor behave as two "logical" processors).

Assuming that guess is correct, you can disable hyperthreading from your
computer's bios.
