Hello --
I have two HP printers that each connect to my computer
via USB cables. They were getting along fine until
yesterday, when I started getting error messages to the
effect that I need to install a printer before I can print
(even though both printers appeared in my Printers and
Faxes folder). I also got error messages about not having
a printer spooling service.
Working with HP today, I got one of the printers running
again. The technician said that often, it doesn't work out
to have two printers connected by USB cables -- somehow
you get a conflict under Windows. There's no way I can
change either printer to a parallel cable. Do I have to
get rid of one and replace it with a printer that has a
parallel cable or is there some Windows solution?
By the way, in order to get my laser printer running
again, after running MSCONFIG, we unchecked the box for
machine debug manager (Services). Will there be any dire
results from doing this?
Thank you!
