Two Partitions of the same OS

My boyfriend and I share the same computer. In order to still get the 'feel'
as if I have my own computer, I want to partition our 160Gb drive into two
seperate partitions. However I want have the same OS (XP) on both partitions.
What problems could this create and how is it fixable?

If all you want is the "feel" --> Use separate user accounts, one install.
Trust me, the partitioning thing and reboots and etc just won't be worth it.
