It never works? Then the keyboard is probably broken. Does the enter
key on the numerical part of the keyboard function properly?
2. When switching between user accounts , noise came...

like some kind of tune, or some kind of static? What kind of noise?
does it stop?

This might be relevant:

At least for HP and Compaq PCs, it has been reported that the
KB828028 / MS04-007 security update (ASN.1 vulnerability fix)
in some cases makes the ENTER key on the keyboard dysfunctional:

Thanks SDC for instant responses.
Steps I have tried ..

1)The keyboards enter key does not work . I have tried both new sets o
USB and PS2 keyboards.
2)When i checked the same keyboard on a different system , it work
smoothly.
3)The enter key is not working even in safe mode.
4)I have done online virus scan on http://housecall.antivirus.com , n
errors.
5)Reinstalled the keyboard drivers , display drivers, sound drivers.
6)Checked for spyware using spybot S & D.
7)Ran Disk Defrag, Disk Cleanup
8)Disabled all the start up programs (Using Msconfig).

Experts, Please advice me what i can to reoslve this ..
