Two Instances of Explorer.exe

On Windows XP Home SP 2,

Task Manager shows two separate instances of explorer.exe with my user name. Normal?

That depends and may happen when this option has been checked: Explorer >
Tools > Folder Options > View > Launch Folder Windows in a separate process
(or similar since translated). Could be caused by malware also, of course.
