Two Hard Drives-Multi-boot/dual boot

I have two harddrives. "C" drive has XP and "D" has
Win98 one set up as a master and the other a slave. Is
there a way to set it up to give me a choice of which
drive to boot to? Some of my programs, which are old
will not run on XP so instead of me having to take the
cover off the PC and switch the drives around I thought
there may be an easier way.

Help.

Many recent BIOSes allow you to switch the boot drive around.

Also, why didn't you go to a dual-boot configuration in the first place?

Yes, this can easily be done but you need to supply further
details:
- Is drive C: a FAT or an NTFS volume?
- If you remove the WinXP drive and make the Win98
the master, does Win98 run?
 
Removable hard-drive frame and caddies have become very inexpensive. Buy one
frame and two caddies. Put your Win 98 drive in one caddy, your Win XP drive
in the other caddy.
 
C Drive has Xp and is NTFS, D Drive the slave is Fat32.
It doesn't matter t me which drive is the slave or master
and since XP is new I can always reformat either NTFS or
Fast32 whichever I need to do and reinstall everything.
If I pull out one drive I can get Win98 to run
 
Everything I read about dual boot dealt with one hard
drive that is partioned off. I have two hard drives. If
you can walk me through it I will try anything.
 
- Get a copy of the XOSL boot manager. It's free.
- Install it in your Win98 partition.
- Add WinXP and Win98 to the XOSL menu.
- Instruct XOSL to swap disks when booting into Win98.

When installing XOSL, make sure to install it in your existing
Win98 partition. Do not allow it to install itself in a dedicated
partition (since you don't have one, it would erase one of the
existing partitions!).
