Am sure I remember reading somewhere that you should close the one marked :2 if
you have made any changes whilst opened, but I can't find it :-( Was something
to do with losing data or changes IIRC (Might have recalled it wrongly though).

Close one of the 2 WINDOWS of the same file by the "x" in the upper right
corner. The :1 and :2 will "merge" into one file. This is created by using the
New Window command from the Window menu. The purpose is to be able to see
different views of the same worksheet simultaneously -- use Window/Arrange and
you'll see both "copies" of the same worksheet in different windows -- in one
you can see with formulas showing and the other with values (ctrl/~), or in one
you can see with gridlines & the other without, or in one you can see A1 in the
upper left corner and in the other you can scroll to Z85 in the upper left,
again, simultaneously.

After I have opened a file, it appears twice on the toolbar on the bottom
of the screen as filename:1, and filename:2. It also appears twice on the top
toolbar under the command Window, where one can select from various opened
files. Anybody know why this file seems to have be open twice? Please help
