Two dates in the same cell

Hi,
I have two or more dates in the same cell, all of diferent year, i need to
know how to get the newer date.
Thanks.
 
How are these two dates delimited within the cell... are they separated with
a comma, Line Feed, dash, something else? Are the dates all uniformly
formatted or can their appearance be different? It would be useful if you
posted examples of the various possibilities.
