My Outlook 2003 has 2 Archive Folders. When I open Data File Management I
see that I have 2 archive.pst files listed in 2 different subdirectories.
1. ...\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and the other
2. ...\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Which one should I keep and which one should I remove? I should mention here
that I have a roaming profile i.e. I frequently log on from multiple
different machines in our domain.

I should also add that the copy in the ...\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook is in hte new format while the file in the
....\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook is 97-2002 format.

Open each of them and compare the data - or just compare the modified date
to find your most recent.

After furious head scratching, Leon asked:

Thanks for the sugestion but this is not really what I was after. I want to
know the proper/default location of the archive.pst.

You may need to keep them both, as each could contain distinct data archived
at different times. They could also be archiving different folders, as each
folder can have a unique archive file specified.

Another thought: click FIle>Archive and compare the value for the PST there
with what's under Data File Management. The one that matches is most likely
the currently active one.

The second one you posted would be the default path.
