I use a desktop and a laptop. I use the laptop the most. I use office 2003 along with xp pro.

I am trying to share one *.pst file for both computers, located on the network drive. but, what happens is that if i send receive all from "the other" computer, then all the same email postings are downloaded again, leaving me with two identical copies of each email in my inbox.

so, my question is, is there a way to configure outlook so that I can successfully manage my emails from one network *.pst file? Is there an *.ini or config file that will keep settings for outlook on both computers identical?

thanks

No, not supported; both sharing a pst-file and locating a pst-file on the
network.

Setting your account option to not save a copy on the server might help but
again note; it's an unsupported configuration.
