Two computer network, internet access

I have two computers networked together, with a Motorola cable modem into the host and a Linkysy 5-port hub connecting the machines. I have been able to set up file sharing between the two, but the client is unable to use the host's internet connection (which works fine on the host machine). I have attempted to use the "Enable other users to connect to the internet through this machine" checkbox...but it isn't there. The only option available to me on the advanced tab of my LAN connection is to enable the firewall

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Have you enabled ICS on the WAN connection of the host? Are both LAN
connections set to obtain IP automatically/

Both LAN connections are set to obtain the IP address automatically, but the WAN connection does not appear in "My Network Places". In all honesty, I'm not too sure WHERE the guy who installed our cable modem placed the connection (I tried to get them to allow me to do it myself, but they refused). Is there anywhere else it could be located

The Internet connection sharing option only appears when all of these
are true:

1. There are at least two enabled, connected network connections: one
for the Internet, and one or more for the LAN.

2. The Internet Connection Firewall is disabled on the LAN
connection(s).

3. The Internet connection isn't bridged.
