Does it hurt anything to have two Antivirus' installed? I've got Avira
premium installed and was thinking about installing Microsoft Security
Essentials

You do not want to have two AV programs running at the same time. They
will conflict with each other.

No.

But it is problematic if they both *run* at the same time! So since AV
programs are configured to always run in the background, you need to be
careful. I would keep Avira and install ClamWin if you would like a
second AV program. Make sure you also have anti-spyware programs
installed. I personally recommend MalwareByte's AntiMalware and
SUPERAntiSpyware.

(Also remember to keep as secure as possible by installing the latest
Windows security patches.)

It will conflict. Install one as resident and run all others on line after the
resident finished. Make sure the online ones also run one at a time

Yes. It's a *very* bad thing to do. They can conflict with other and
they will hurt your performance.

Both good choices, but you only need one of them.
