I want to know how to:
1) disable the annoying feature that opens the window that aks what I want
to do whenever I insert a disk into my CD drive;

2) enable the feature that makes every program I install into my PC adopts
as a default the "D:" drive.

It's Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP1.

Thanks a lot,
Guilherme

For the first question, open My Computer and right-click on the icon for
the CD drive. Click on the Autoplay tab and set preferences as desired.

For the second question, you can't. The programs' install routines have
control over that, not the operating system. You'll just have to
remember to install onto the D: drive.
