The dowload probably got corrupted. Try downloading it again and if it
happens again, try downloading from another website.

You probably downloaded the version for Itanium based systems.
That file would be 224KB in size. Download the smaller file
above it, 147 KB in size.

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

Here's the file you need:

Good luck

Try again.

Also, if you have a copy of Millennium, the Tweak UI for
Millennium runs on XP just fine, and it's smaller. (You may
not need or want the 10 X more routines in Tweak UI XP.

Just a suggestion.

I had been using TweakUI off an old Millennium disk for
several YEARS before I even knew there was a version for XP.

Good luck!

Why do you think they made a FREE version of TweakUI for XP? Do you ever
think before you post? Did you ever think maybe some features of TweakUI for
95/Me may not work properly with XP and was the reason they released a XP
specific version? Does bonehead mean anything to you? <sigh> Even if it is
just a suggestion, saying to use it could have adverse or unknown results.
You really don't understand how dangerous your advice can be. You must
include a warning to who you reply that they make sure there system is
backed up before trying your suggestion to use an unproven; untested and not
recommended system utilities on their computer.
Shaking head and walking away.
