To do this u need a card with S-Video output. then u just
connect the S-Video to your TV. but this is only really
ment for playing games and watch videos. your text will
not really be readable, so web broswer and e-mail are very
hard to do.

Quite true. Television can provide only a small fraction of the resolution
that you're accustomed to on a computer.

Even a "low-res" 800x600 display has 5x the pixels of normal TV reception.

And if you're accustomed to 1280x1024, the figure rises to 12x.

I have used TV out cards for a couple of years now. I can tell you that
Matrox wins by a large margin. I had the G400 TV for two year.

I now have a new ATI card (AIW 9000 Pro), which gives much better 3D gaming
performance, but much worse TV performance than the Matrox.
