Turning Off Win Auto Update Icon

My new clean install of slipstreamed sp2 has developed a red icon that, on
booting, gives me a message to turn on windows update, which I have to
close. I do my own maintenance, and need to stop it making me click it every
time I start windows.

Open the Security Center (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>Security Center) and on the left uncheck the approprite box under
Change The Way Security Center Alerts Me.
