turn off short menus

Is there a way to turn off the annoying short menus- when I click on the
excel menu, I want every thing to be listed.. do I do that in prefs or
options? What are the keys to get me there and turn on long menus

Brent,

Right click on a commandbar, choose Customize, then select the Options tab,
and put a check nest to "Always show full menus"
