Turn Off Computer

Can someone help? When I shut down XP on my computer, it
reboots instead of switching itself off. This is a
nuisance.

go to control panell in the star menu then click on
swicth to classic veiw then find power options then click
ADVANCED then find WHEN I PUSH THE POWER BOTTON::: MINE
SAYS SHUT DOWN. YOUR PROBELY SAYS RESTART. JUST CHANGE IT
TO SHUT DOWN :) you have been helped by kyle rapinan

do you have Esy cd creator 5 on your system, if so then that could be your
problem, go to the Roxio web page and get the latest update.
 
Hi Jeremy,

Disable everything that reads 'Wake up' in the BIOS settings. Also, I have
seen this behavior if you have a CD/DVD in the drive during a shutdown.
