I would like for contacts to not be auto added when I send or receive an
email. I only want contacts that I manually add.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks,

Hi,

To turn off auto addition of contacts while sending & recieving mails please
follow the steps below:

1) Click on Tools
2) Click on Options
3) On the Options dialogue box, please click on the tab named Send
4) Please uncheck the option "Automatically put people I reply to in my
Contacts List"

Please let me know if that answers your questions ans resolves the issue.

Thanks

My option is set to auto add while sending and receiving but it does not
appear to work. Even right click add sender gets the response that it has
been added/is already in contacts but searching for the name says it isn't.

Any ideas please>

CL,

That works for messages sent, how do I turn off auto addition of contacts
from messages received ?

Chhavi,

Yes, did not realise that incoming e-mail addresses are not saved.
Thanks, Tanzer
