trying to transfer data from old Aptiva(WIN 98) to new Dell...

Any cost efficient way to do this? The IBM Aptiva does
not have a network cable socket but does have a USB port.
I would prefer not to go the route of configuring a
network to facilitate data transfer. Aptiva does not have
a CD burner either.

Plug old Aptiva HD into new Dell PC. Configure the old HD as slave,
the newer one in the Dell as master.

= no cost but your time. And maybe a Phillips screwdriver, if you
don't have one.
