Trying to save images online, but they save only as untitled bitmaps...

I go to save an image on a webpage. I right click save
picture as...

and it wont save as a jpeg or a gif. only as an untitled
bitmap. Is this an error or what? ive never encountered
this before, it happens on all webpages. My last computer
didnt do that, but this new one is. Ive had it for a
month, and just recently it started doing this, i have no
idea what to do.
 
The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
