I have a new computer on which I try to install XP. When the installation
comes to the stage where It says "Setup is loading files (Windows NT
Filesystem (NTFS))" the computer just shuts down and restarts? What should I
do?

- Make sure everything is seated properly in the computer (memory, cables,
etc.)
- Make sure the BIOS settings are set to default.
- Check all hardware for errors (a bootable memory diagnostics CD, the
diagnostics utility from the hard disk manufacturer, etc..)

What version/type of Windows XP are you attempting to install?
(Home, Professional, Media Center Edition, etc -- OEM, Retail, Upgrade?)
When you select the partition to install on - what exactly are you doing?
Did you format it normally or quick?
