I have a Brother HL-1440 laser printer, which is about 5 years old maybe.
All the installation disc goes to is Windows 2000. Maybe only 3 years old.
Anyways I'm using the Windows XP Home Edition and I can't seem to get the
drivers located once I download them. When I download them I save them and
write a file name like this C:\brother. When I try to locate them to run
them in order to install the drivers during setup with the printer, it says
file name cannot be found or used. What am I doing wrong? What should I put
down as the file name so I can recover it when I need it for the setup?
Thanks, attilathehun1
PS I've already tried to have the PC find them automatically after I've
downloaded them or unzipped it and choose run too. I've tried a bunch of ways
to try to get these drivers found. They wind up on the hard drive.
Thanks, Daniel
