Trying to Hide Icons in the Tray

I have tried to adust the settings in my tray so that only a few are
visible.Why would none of the settings for the tray hold. I have XP home
with sp1 installed. Any help would be appreciated

Yep, some icons do that. Not sure why, probably because of the way the
information about the icon is send to the OS. Do none of the settings stick
for any icon? You are probably better of asking this in a Windows XP
newsgroup.

Not an Outlook question. However, I find that if I lock the taskbar, the
settings seem to hold.
