I had a problem with my computer that required Windows
2000 to be completely reinstalled. I cannot access my
previous user and the Outlook emails attached to it.

How can I import these emails into my new Outlook set up.
I know they are on the hard drive but I can't figure out
how to access them.

Any thoughts??

You are going to need to make sure you have admin rights
to the local PC. Try running a search for all .PST files-
you should find several on the PC from the old account.
(Just run a search for files called *.PST) You can try
to import them- I usually start with the biggest one if I
am unsure of the correct file. There is a specific name
for the Outlook .PST file created by default- but its
name eludes my memory at the moment. I want to say it is
either Outlook.PST or Default.PST.

Look for a file with a .pst extension. Turn on searching hidden and system
files before searching.
