My browser keeps going away saying there was a problem. I get asked if I
should report it or not report it. I am actually having this happen alot on
my websites where I am going to like ESPN.com and then all of sudden the four
windows I have up are all gone. Can anyone help me on this situation. Also
another problem I am having is that when I shut down my computer it won't
because there is a program still running ccApp, or something like that. What
do I do?

Thanks,
Matt

Why are you running 4 windows open then downloading IE7,you shouldnt
need to use that many links,IE7 is offered a microsoft home page, from thier
the past link page closes, are you downloading from microsoft.....For the
ccApp Doesnt sound like microsoft, try search in my computer, have it list
hidden files/folders.

ccApp is almost always a part of Symantec Internet Security.
The BEST solution to stop that happening is to simply UNINSTALL
Symantec Internet Security, and install an Internet Security suite
which LIKES to work with XP.

I suggest Eset's NOD32 Antivirus in combination with ZoneAlarm Pro
(without the Antivirus), or just use the built-in firewall which comes
in XP SP2. It is more than capable of keeping your machine free of
network viruses, which are the most dangerous kinds.

The SECRET to keeping malware free is:
1) KEEP your OS and Antivirus UPDATED regularly.
2) STAY AWAY from Porn sites, warez sites, and P2P programs. In this,
you MUST exercise great restraint. Let's face it, we LOVE those three
things. But they are the BIGGEST sources for malware. Also, try to
stay away from sites in the former Eastern Block nations. However,
several of the best AV products are produced there (I wonder why), so
ONLY go to THEIR websites, if you must.
3) NEVER click on ANY attachment in your email, especially if it is
executable in any way.
4) Also do not click on ANY attachments in ANY email, even from your
friends and family. You can always protect yourself, if you take
reasonable precautions. But you CAN'T protect them. If you MUST open
attachments from ANYONE, scan your email (including attachments), and
make darn sure they are free of viruses and trojans, BEFORE clicking
on them, not AFTER. How many times have we thought of scanning our
email AFTER we opened it? Too many times. Be proactive.
5) If you Antivirus WON'T or doesn't handle email, GET RID of it, and
replace it with one which will, since email is the #1 vector for the
entry of viruses and trojans into our systems.
6) NEVER publish your email address on the web, other than if it is
REQUIRED to make an Internet purchase. This means "munge" your actual
email address in your Newsreader. Publishing your true email address
in your Newsreader posts is a GREAT way to start receiving LOTS of
"spam" and malware in your Inbox. If you MUST publish your email
address on the Usenet, use a free service such as Hotmail or Yahoo
(unless, of course, they are your ISPs. In which case, do not even
publish THOSE addresses on the Net). And BE SURE NOT to include your
true email address in your profile in these services.
