Hello,
I am tryin to reformat my computer, so I put in the Windows Xp Home Disc and
I reboot. It says press any key to boot from disc so I press a bunch of keys
but nothing happenes and it continues to load Windows. Could somebody help me
on this issue?
Thanks

You'll need to set your BIOS to boot from your CD-Rom drive, probably D drive.
When you boot start clicking F8 functional key and that should get you in
the BIOS.

My Cd rom is my first boot drive.
As I said before, it asks me to book from CD, it says " press any key to
boot from CD " and I press a bunch of keys but nothing happens and it
continues loading Windows normally...
Thanks!

Are you by chance using a USB keyboard?

Also, it's not altogether unlikely that your disk is corrupted. I recently
had to replace my copy of XP Home.

Does the little green light on the CD drive go on?? Is the machine at least
trying to read the CD?
Have you checked that the connections inside are properly tight??
What Kind of XP CD is it?? OEM? Upgrade? ???

After installing SP2 I began having a great deal of trouble with my
computer--mostly slow down, etc. So I decided to reinstall Windows XP Pro
with my CD but it wouldn't let me. I got the idea to uninstall SP2 and all
the other window service downloads I could and, after doing that, my CD
allowed me to reinstall windows xp. Now things are running much better, even
after reinstalling SP2, etc. Now, I just try to keep my Program Files folder
