Troubleshoot Customize Outlook Today page

I currently have Outlook 2000. Since initial installation
I have been unable to activate the "Customize Outlook
Today" button which is located in the upper right corner
of the Outlook Today page. I tried using the "detect and
repair" feature, located under help, to no avail. I also,
put in the Microsoft Outlook disc and chose the repair
(name?) option. This did not correct the problem either.
Any suggestions?

A Google search on "cannot Customise Outlook today" produces about 1,640
hits in 0.14 secs.
Is it me or does NOBODY bother to do any kind of research before posting
here?
