I installed XP Home Edition and have been having strange
problems using Yahoo. Things such as:
1. The mail Screens don't look as they did before.
2. I can choose to compose an email, but the area to
write the email isn't there. The Adress To, Subject and
Attachments are there, but no toolbar to choose cut,
paste, font type, ect. ect. and no box to actually enter a
message.

The second big problem is that it won't let my Norton
System Works (2003) load Virus utility. I uninstalled it
after upgrading to XP and then reinstalled but it didn't
and won't install Virus utility.

Lastly web pages we can look at with other computers load
with blank screens.

What should I do. I'm tempted to do a complete install
(removing all the software on the computer and
reinstalling after I know it's working correctly).

Questions for you:
(1) Do you have a firewall installed and enabled? Or, if
not, is the Windows XP firewall enabled?
(2) Do you have anti-virus software installed and updated
with the latest definitions? If so, do you have it
always enabled before going on the Internet?
(3) Have you considered that your computer might be
compromised with viruses, worms or spyware?
(4) Do you run a full system scan for viruses at least
once a week?

Recommendations for scanning for spyware/malware:
Spybot - Search and Destroy, updated before running a
scan.
