I am having constant problems with creating new pages and
then the name of the page does not change when i rename
the page which prevents an accurate hyperlinking of the
page because the name is different has anyone else
experienced this problem

Please provide the steps you are doing and any messages.

I am getting no messages with this. This is what i am
doing do. In the create web portion i create pages as
subpages. Then when i right click on them to rename them
the new name appears on the page in the navigation bar
but when i open the page itself the page name remains
new_page_1 or new_page_2 etc. This then prevents me from
being able to copy and paste the link because although it
is pasteing the reassigned name the page is still
new_page_1 for example. When this happens i have to then
delete all of the pages created from the navigation view
and then i have to actually open the directory on the
hardrive to actually delete the pages themselves or they
do not even come out. As you can imagine this is slowing
my work down to almost nothing. i am about ready to give
up because i keep doing the same thing over and over
again. Any help will be appreciated.

First make sure you always have a web open (File Menu | Open Web) prior to
working with your web.

When you click to change the page name in navigation view, you are only
changing the name as it appears as text for the links in navigation, it is
not changing the actual page title or the file name.

One way to workaround this, is to create you pages, assign a page name, and
then save under a name of your choice, then build you navigation structure
by switching to navigation view and then drag the pages into navigation.
